Tensions between Six Nations protesters and Caledonia residents may be escalating again. Some local residents formed their own blockade Friday near the barricade the protesters have set up on Argyle Street. This prevented the protester's vehicles from coming and going from the Douglas Creek Estates site. Eight residents also say that when they went to the housing construction site they were attacked with bear spray and rocks by the protestors claiming the land for the Natives. Provincial police are investigating the incident, but say there were no injuries.
