The 7 woman, 5 man jury in the Ts'peten (Gustafsen Lake) trial returned to the court this morning to confer with BC Supreme Court Justice Bruce Josephson suggesting their deliberations could be lengthy. Domestic items such as babysitting and other housekeeping matters concerning the ongoing sequestering of the jury were arranged.
The trial has exposed extensive corruption on the part of the BC NDP and the Canadian federal governments concerning indigenous sovereignty and land rights issues. A wide-spread call for a comprehensive, independant, public inquiry is growing.
